Two FACTOR Seminars To Get You In-The-Know

April 1st marks the beginning of a new fiscal year at FACTOR, which means changes to programs and new deadlines. To help you wade through the changes, as well as get informed if you're new to the FACTOR process, we're happy to announce two seminars covering everything you need to know about applying to FACTOR’s programs. We invite you to join FACTOR’s team as we discuss what we offer, how to apply, and any changes made from our last fiscal year. We will also introduce our new online system! Each discussion will follow with a Q&A.

Since there’s so much information to cover, we’re breaking it up with two seminars over two days. 

SEMINAR ONE

Seminar One will take place on Friday, April 8th from 2-4pm and will cover our music company-oriented programs:

  • Business Travel
  • Business Development
  • Marketing and Promotion for FACTOR Supported Sound Recordings
  • Marketing and Promotion for Non-FACTOR Supported Sound Recordings
  • Collective Initiatives

SEMINAR TWO

Seminar Two will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 2-4pm and will cover our more artist-centric programs:

  • Demo and Commercially Released Single
  • Juried Sound Recording
  • Showcase Support
  • Tour Support
  • Songwriter’s Workshop and Seminar Support
  • Marketing and Promotion for FACTOR Supported Sound Recordings
  • Emerging Artist Sound Recording
  • Video

In both seminars we will discuss:

  • Getting through the paperwork to produce the best possible application
  • How to make the application process run smoothly
  • The documents and information you need to upload and include with your application
  • The online submission process

Both of these seminars will be held at the FACTOR office at 30 Commercial Rd. in Toronto. 

To attend these seminars in person, you must RSVP to general.info@factor.ca by 5pm on Thursday, April 7th. We have limited seating and attendance is first come, first served.

If you can’t make it out to our office, don’t worry. These seminars will also be videocast over the internet at www.factorseminars.ca. You can view the seminar live and ask questions of staff with an interactive chat. Just go to www.factorseminars.ca 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the seminar and click on the “current seminar” link on the front page.
